  • Cleaning Crew/Maintenance/Security ($9.50/hr + Meals*)
* 1 meal given for every 5 hours worked.

Summer 2008 Job Descriptions

Desk Attendant ($8.00/hr + 1 meal/5 hrs worked):

*Personable and friendly personalities desired for these positions.

Responsibilities:
  1. Customer service at the front desk (such as answering phone calls, questions, greeting campers, coaches and future Tropicana Gardens residents).
  2. Checking camps in and out (such as distributing and collecting keys, charting camp rosters, etc).
  3. Completing various tasks upon request of supervisors.
  4. Other duties as assigned.

Cleaning Crew ($9.50/hr + 1 meal/5 hrs worked):

*Physical strength/capability is recommended for these positions.

Responsibilities:

  • Light housekeeping/ cleaning services (such as vacuuming, dusting, cleaning windows, bathrooms, etc). Moving and assembling bed and other furnishings.
  • Completing various tasks upon request of supervisors.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Maintenance/Referee Staff ($9.50/hr + 1 meal/5 hrs worked) :

*Some job experience (construction, maintenance, etc) is highly recommended.

Responsibilities of Maintenance:

  • Facility maintenance/repairs (such as patchwork in drywall, painting, screen repairs, plumbing issues, etc.).
  • Completing various tasks upon request of supervisors.
  • Moving and assembling bed and other furnishings.

Responsibilities of Security:

  • Act as courtesy patrol officers who oversee the conduct and behavior of campers.
  • Ensure safety for the campers and staff members and care of the physical property.
  • Minor disciplining of campers may be required as specified by camp advisors.
  • Completing various tasks upon request of supervisors.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Limited Live-In Positions are available for all 3 jobs!
(*Note- Live-in employees will be required to work minimum 20 hours a week.)
