Here are the available positions:

Customer Service Representative

Personable, outgoing and friendly personalities desired for this position. Experience with Excel and Word a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Customer service at the front desk (such as answering phone calls & questions; receiving & issuing packages, sorting mail; greeting campers, coaches and future Tropicana residents)
• Give informative and friendly property tours of Tropicana Gardens residence hall, Tropicana Del Norte residence hall and Villas at Tropicana upperclassmen apartments
• Be knowledgeable about leasing information, which includes pricing and contracts for all three properties - Tropicana Gardens, Tropicana Del Norte and Villas at Tropicana
• Tabling at SBCC on Fridays from 9:30am-1:30pm, and for Villas at various locations, giving a brief speech about Tropicana to touring students and answering questions about Tropicana Student Housing
• Checking camps in and out (such as distributing and collecting keys, charting camp rosters, etc.)
• Acts as courtesy patrol officers who oversee the conduct and behavior of campers, ensuring safety for the campers and staff members and care of the physical property
• Completing various tasks upon request of supervisors
• Working most holidays; must have flexible schedule; entry level is accepted

Summer Crew

Physical strength/capability is recommended for this position. Requires lifting more than 40 lbs.

Responsibilities:

• The two primary job requirements are:
  • Light housekeeping/cleaning services (such as vacuuming, dusting, cleaning windows, bathrooms, etc)
  • Moving and assembling beds and other furnishings.
• Completing various tasks upon request of supervisors
• Other duties as assigned
• Acts as courtesy patrol officers who oversee the conduct and behavior of campers
• Ensure safety for the campers and staff members and care of the physical property

Maintenance Staff

Some job experience (construction, painting, etc.) is required.

Responsibilities:

• Facility maintenance/repairs (such as patchwork in drywall, painting, screen repairs, plumbing, etc.)
• Completing various tasks upon request of supervisors
• Moving and assembling beds and other furnishings. (*Requires lifting more than 40 lbs)
• Other duties as assigned
